A dark monochrome cover with the line Jasper vs BrandWell over two abstract card stacks, one of long article pages and one of small channel tiles, joined by connection lines.

Jasper vs BrandWell comes down to the work you mostly produce. BrandWell (formerly Content at Scale) researches, scores and publishes long-form SEO articles, with AI-answer tracking in every plan, while Jasper covers short-form and multichannel copy from a stored brand context layer and has only partial SEO research. DeepSmith is a strong alternative when you want articles written and published on a schedule: Autowrite produces publish-ready articles on their scheduled date, and Repurpose turns each one into channel posts that are ready to copy.

If you are weighing Jasper or BrandWell, the useful question is what your team ships most weeks. A team that publishes long-form articles to rank in search is buying something different from a team that needs ads, emails, social posts and landing page copy in one brand voice. Jasper vs BrandWell is mostly that split, and the pricing and trial terms make it harder to read than it should be. DeepSmith sits next to both, since it tracks AI answers and also writes and publishes the articles that respond to what it finds.

Jasper vs BrandWell: the short answer

  • Choose DeepSmith if you want AI-answer tracking, publish-ready articles, scheduled writing and channel posts on one self-serve plan, starting at $99 a month with a 7-day free trial.
  • Choose Jasper if most of your work is short-form and multichannel copy that has to follow a stored brand voice, and a quote-based Business plan for the advanced features is fine with you.
  • Choose BrandWell if most of your work is long-form SEO articles with research briefs, a live SEO score and WordPress or Contentful publishing, at $249 to $999 a month.

Jasper

The Jasper homepage leads with putting AI agents to work for marketing, with calls to start a free trial or get a demo.

Jasper is an agent-based workspace for marketing content, built by Jasper AI, Inc. in Austin and founded in 2021. It has a Canvas and an editor for drafting, more than 100 task agents, Grid for producing content at scale, Studio for custom agents, and Jasper IQ, which stores brand voices, style guides, audiences, product facts and company knowledge. It is built for marketing teams that produce a high volume of content across channels and need brand consistency, and it works for individuals too on the single-seat Pro plan.

The standout is the brand context layer. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra keep coming back to quick first drafts, templates and the way the voice carries across different kinds of copy. It also has the security items larger teams ask for, with SOC 2 Type II and SAML 2.0 SSO on Business, and an API and an MCP server.

The real limit is where the advanced features sit. Grid, Studio, the Research and Translation agents, the GEO Hub, the API and collaboration are all Business-only, and the Business price, the included credits and the overage rates are not published. On ratings, Jasper has 4.7/5 on G2 from 1,307 reviews and 4.8/5 on Capterra from 1,855, checked in September 2026, while Trustpilot averages 3/5 from 4,141. Reviewers also say the copy can be generic and needs editing, and price comes up often for small teams. If the quote-only Business plan is a sticking point, there are other Jasper alternatives worth a look.

BrandWell

The BrandWell homepage describes growth automation software with AI agents, over a grid of product screens and a site-tracking consent banner.

BrandWell (formerly Content at Scale) is the 2024 rebrand of a long-form article writer, now sold as a growth automation platform with nine separate products. The one that matters here is RankWell, which handles content planning, research briefs, drafting from a keyword, a URL, a video or a podcast, an editor with a live SEO score, internal linking, and publishing. It is built for content and SEO teams and agencies that want long-form articles with brand voice rules and SEO scoring in one workspace.

The standout is that the whole article workflow sits in one place, and that Visibility is included in every RankWell plan. Visibility tracks answers on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and the public prices are $249, $499 and $999 a month for 25, 50 and 100 articles.

The real limits are around clarity. The pricing page, the registration page and the terms give different trial and pricing messages, and BrandWell says its drafts need editing and fact checking. Third-party reviews are few and mostly from 2023, with a 4.0/5 rating from five reviews on a legacy Content at Scale listing. TrustRadius shows 9.1/10 from two reviews. No SOC 2, SSO or MCP server is documented.

DeepSmith: the alternative that writes and publishes on schedule

The DeepSmith homepage reads one platform for AI search analytics and content production, above an AI visibility dashboard.

Both tools leave a gap for a reader who wants articles to appear without someone starting each one. BrandWell's records show an editorial calendar and scheduled routines, but the vendor says generation creates editable work and that publishing needs a separate approved path. Jasper's pages do not document scheduled writing or publishing at all, and its CMS reach is a Webflow app plus exports to tools like Drive and Asana. Both do real work on research and drafting, and BrandWell does it well, but the step from a planned topic to a live page still depends on people.

DeepSmith closes that gap with Autowrite. You give a planned idea a date, switch Autowrite on, and the article writes itself on that date against the stored persona, voice, content type and link targets, and lands in Produced Content. It can go all the way to published without anyone in the app, or you can review and publish from Produced Content to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful. The Writer researches each article, links it internally and externally, adds a cover image and writes the metadata, so the output is meant to be publish-ready and not a draft to rescue.

What goes into the calendar comes from the same data. AI Visibility tracks mention rate, citation rate and share of voice across engines (ChatGPT on Pro, Perplexity added on Grow, Gemini added on Scale, and all ten engines on Enterprise), and the Content Map shows where competitors cover topics you do not. Opportunity Agents turn those gaps into ideas that each carry the data point behind them. Deep IQ keeps your company, voice and product facts in one place so every article starts from them. For channel work, Repurpose gives every finished article social posts that are already written and ready to copy, and the Apps Library adapts an article for LinkedIn, X, newsletters and more.

DeepSmith's AI Visibility overview shows mention rate, citation rate and share of voice as separate measures, with a per-engine breakdown and a competitor leaderboard, all on demo data.

DeepSmith's Planned Content view lists scheduled articles with an Autowrite toggle and a panel showing the persona, voice, content type and link targets a scheduled run will use, on demo data.

Plans run $99, $199 and $399 a month (Pro, Grow and Scale), or $80, $160 and $299 a month billed annually, with 20, 40 and 90 articles a month. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial and there are no long-term contracts. DeepSmith is rated 4.8/5 on G2, and it is SOC 2, GDPR and ISO certified.

SEO research and article scoring

In BrandWell vs Jasper on SEO research, BrandWell wins this one. Its records show keyword research with demand and difficulty, analysis of the top-ranking pages, and a live SEO score in the editor with NLP, entity and salience analysis in every plan. The vendor is clear that the score is guidance and not a ranking guarantee, which is a fair way to read it.

Jasper does part of this. Its Optimization Agent handles keyword research, but volume and difficulty data come from a Semrush account you connect yourself, and without it the research is directional. The agent scores content against Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines, and scoring against the terms of top-ranking pages is not documented. The agent also costs 100 credits a run, and credits are a Business plan mechanism.

What DeepSmith does: it applies keyword coverage, heading structure, schema markup, internal linking and metadata while the article is being written, and its AEO formatting puts crisp answers near the top with clear headings. The internal links come from the Content Map, so they point at pages that exist on your site. The result is an article that is already structured for search and for AI answers when it arrives.

Multichannel and short-form copy

Jasper wins this one clearly. It has agents for ads, emails, sequences, social posts, product descriptions, landing pages and press releases, a Remix Content tool that repurposes existing content on both plans, and image generation and editing. BrandWell does not market short-form copy as part of RankWell. Its API documents rewrite tools that could be used for it, and email copy lives in a separate Outreach product, so short-form is partial at best.

The weak side for Jasper is cost and editing. Several of the agents that matter for scaled work sit behind the quote-only Business plan, and reviewers say the output often needs a human pass.

What DeepSmith does: every finished article arrives with social posts already written, and the Apps Library turns one article into platform-native versions for LinkedIn, X, Medium, Substack, newsletter and nurture email, Reddit and more, each adapted to the channel's tone and length in the same stored brand voice. For a team whose channel work starts from a long article, that removes the separate repurposing step.

Publishing and workflow

BrandWell wins on publishing. WordPress and Contentful delivery is native in every RankWell plan, with Google Docs export, an editorial calendar, a production queue that can write the whole queue in priority order, and review and approval steps before anything goes live. Because of that approval step, scheduled publishing is only partial in its record.

Jasper's workflow strength is flexibility. Studio builds custom agents and workflows, Grid runs bulk generation at 10 credits a row, and the team can build custom workflows on Business. Publishing is the thinner part, with the Webflow app and exports but no documented direct WordPress or Contentful publishing and no documented scheduled publishing. A broader list of tools that publish straight to a CMS is in this guide to AI content tools with CMS auto-publish.

What DeepSmith does: Autowrite writes on the scheduled date and can take the article all the way to published, and Produced Content publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful, or to your own webhooks. Planning is done in bulk or one idea at a time, so a month of articles can be set up in one sitting and left to run.

Pricing and value

This one depends on how you count. Jasper is cheaper to start, with Pro at $69 per seat per month or $59 billed annually, but Pro is a single-seat plan with two Brand Voices and limited knowledge assets, and the features most teams want are on Business, which has no published price. According to BrandWell's pricing page, RankWell costs $249, $499 or $999 a month for 25, 50 or 100 articles, which makes the cost per article easy to work out. The same site still has registration-page plans of $899 to $2,999 a month on 12-month commitments, and the trial story is mixed: a 3-day guarantee on one page, a 7-day no-card trial on another, and terms that say a trial needs payment details. If you plan to buy, confirm the current terms in writing first.

On volume, BrandWell's lowest tier gives 25 articles for $249, which is about $10 an article at the allowance, and Jasper does not publish an article allowance for Pro.

What DeepSmith does: the prices are published and the unit is clear. Pro is $99 a month for 20 articles and 50 tracked prompts, Grow is $199 for 40 articles and 100 prompts, and Scale is $399 for 90 articles and 200 prompts. Tracking and writing share one plan, so you are not paying for a visibility tool and a writing tool separately, and the 7-day free trial lets you see real drafts before you pay. You can compare it with Jasper in DeepSmith vs Jasper. The Content at Scale side is covered in DeepSmith vs Content at Scale.

From insight to action

Both tools now track AI answers, and the difference is what happens next. Jasper's GEO Hub tracks brand presence, citation rate, share of voice and sentiment on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, and it can push Optimize or Originate recommendations into Grid with one click. It is a Business feature, it is credit-metered, and Jasper does not publish how the answers are collected. BrandWell's Visibility runs tracked questions on the same four engines, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, in every plan, and keeps the answer history. Its quotas, sampling frequency and collection method are not disclosed, and its AIMEE agent has workflow templates such as closing a visibility gap with approval points.

On this axis Jasper has the more developed path from a tracked gap to new content, since the recommendations go straight into its production grid, and BrandWell has the lower barrier because tracking comes in every plan.

What DeepSmith does: tracking and production run on the same data. A gap found in AI Visibility or the Content Map becomes an idea from an Opportunity Agent, the idea carries its evidence into Planned Content, Autowrite writes the article on its date, and the Pages view then shows which of your pages AI actually cites. The loop from measurement to a published article lives in one platform, on one self-serve plan.

Which should you choose

On Jasper vs BrandWell for SEO articles or multichannel copy, the choice follows what you ship most, and each option below fits a different situation.

  • DeepSmith fits a content or marketing team that wants to see where it shows up in AI answers and also have the articles that respond written, linked, given a cover image and published on a schedule, without stitching two tools together.
  • Jasper fits a marketing team that writes in many channels, such as ads, emails, product copy and social, and needs one brand voice and governance across all of it, with the budget for a Business contract.
  • BrandWell fits a content or SEO team, or an agency, whose main output is long-form articles for search, and who wants research briefs, a live SEO score, WordPress or Contentful publishing and AI-answer tracking at a published monthly price.

If you want to see how the production side works with your own brand context, start a DeepSmith free trial and run a few articles before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Is Jasper or BrandWell better for SEO articles?

BrandWell is better for SEO articles. Its record shows keyword research with demand and difficulty, top-ranking page analysis, a live SEO score and native WordPress and Contentful publishing. Jasper can research and optimize, but its keyword data depends on a Semrush account you connect, and its scoring does not use the terms of top-ranking pages.

Which is better for multichannel marketing copy, Jasper or BrandWell?

Jasper is better. It has agents for ads, email, social posts, product copy and landing pages, plus Remix Content for repurposing. BrandWell is built around long-form articles, and short-form copy is only partly covered.

Is BrandWell the same as Content at Scale?

Yes. BrandWell is the 2024 rebrand of Content at Scale, and its content product is now called RankWell. Some older reviews and pricing pages still use the Content at Scale name, which is part of why the public information on it is mixed, and it also means Jasper vs Content at Scale is the same comparison as this one.

Is there an alternative to Jasper and BrandWell that writes and publishes on a schedule?

DeepSmith does. Autowrite writes a planned article on its scheduled date and can take it all the way to published, and Produced Content publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful. It also tracks AI answers on the same plan, so the topics come from what AI engines are and are not citing.
