Adobe Brand Visibility (LLM Optimizer) is an enterprise GEO platform that tracks AI answers and deploys fixes at the CDN edge or in Adobe Experience Manager, sold through sales. Clearscope is a self-serve content grader at $129 and $399 a month that added basic AI mention tracking. DeepSmith is a strong alternative for teams that want both halves in one self-serve plan, because it shows which of your pages earn citations and then researches, writes and publishes grounded articles in bulk on a schedule.
Choosing between a GEO platform and a content grader mostly comes down to what you do after you learn where you stand. This comparison of Adobe Brand Visibility vs Clearscope covers pricing, features and a buying verdict, using vendor pages and public reviews checked in September 2026. Adobe's product measures AI answers and acts on the site. Clearscope scores drafts and includes basic AI mention tracking. DeepSmith covers both jobs in one place.

Adobe Brand Visibility

Adobe launched LLM Optimizer in 2025 and folded it into Adobe Brand Visibility in June 2026, adding Semrush prompt and market data. From 31 July 2026 only Brand Visibility is sold, and existing contracts carry over. It is built for large enterprises, especially ones already on Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics or Customer Journey Analytics.
The standout is that it acts on what it finds. Adobe describes deploying optimizations to AI agents at the CDN edge with instant rollback, fixing technical issues such as blocked crawlers and missing structured data, and tying AI referral traffic to revenue inside Adobe Analytics. It tracks share of voice and sentiment across up to ten LLMs and benchmarks up to five competitors.
The real limitation is access. Adobe publishes no price, licenses prompts per year through a sales order, and offers a trial only to eligible Adobe customers. Setup can need CDN log forwarding and IT involvement, which a G2 reviewer called an onboarding barrier. G2 shows 3.7/5 from five reviews, four of them incentivized, so the sample is small. Adobe also describes its content generation as aimed at Wikipedia, YouTube, Reddit and earned media, and writing full on-site articles is not described.
Clearscope

Clearscope is an SEO content optimization platform from Mushi Labs in Austin, built around a real-time Content Grade that scores a draft on the terms used by top-ranking pages. Around the grader it offers Topic Exploration, guided AI drafting, Content Inventory for decay alerts through Search Console, internal linking suggestions, and Query Tracking of brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. It is aimed at content and SEO teams who write and refresh articles themselves.
The standout is how easy it is to start. Plans are priced at $129 and $399 a month with unlimited users, there is a 14-day trial, and monthly plans carry no minimum contract. It works inside Google Docs and WordPress. Reviewers on G2 give it 4.9/5 from 92 reviews, and they praise the editor and the support.
The real limitation is scope and allowance. Entry gets 20 Drafts, 20 Topic Explorations, 50 pages and 50 tracked queries, and price is the reservation reviewers raise most. Drafts are created one at a time, tone is set per draft, and no CMS publishing, API or bulk generation is documented. Clearscope does not publish how it collects AI answers or how often.
DeepSmith: the alternative that tracks and writes

Adobe Brand Visibility and Clearscope each cover one end of the loop. Adobe measures and fixes pages you already have, and Clearscope grades the drafts you write. Neither one documents a way to take a gap in AI answers and turn it into a finished, brand-grounded article without a person doing the writing in between. Adobe's own content generation is aimed at off-site channels, and Clearscope's drafts are created one at a time against a monthly allowance.
DeepSmith closes that gap in one platform. The AEO module tracks mention rate, citation rate and share of voice across ten engines, and its Pages view shows which of your pages AI actually cites and which prompts drive those citations. Opportunity Agents read that data and your Content Map, then return content ideas with the data point that justifies each one. The Writer turns a planned idea into a researched, internally and externally linked article with a cover image and publish-ready metadata, grounded in Deep IQ, which stores your brand voice, personas and product facts. Autowrite can run the article on its scheduled date with no one in the app, and Produced Content publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful.

The cost is published. Pro is $99 a month ($80 billed annually) with 20 articles, 50 tracked prompts and five seats. Grow is $199 with 40 articles and 100 prompts, Scale is $399 with 90 articles and 200 prompts, and Enterprise is custom. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial and no long-term contract. DeepSmith is rated 4.8/5 on G2, and its plans don't include crawler log analytics.

Tracking depth and data method
Adobe Brand Visibility has the deeper tracking of the two. It reports share of voice and sentiment, benchmarks up to five competitors, shows the sub-queries engines run for a prompt, and reads AI crawler traffic from CDN logs. Brand Presence refreshes weekly by default, and daily refresh can be requested and may cost extra, which is slower than its real-time marketing language suggests.
Clearscope's Query Tracking is simpler. It reports mention percentage per query for your domain and up to five competitor domains across ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, as a smoothed rolling average of the 21 most recent responses with a 90-day trend and the three latest answers shown in full. The pricing page names only ChatGPT and Gemini, so plan coverage of Claude is unclear. Neither vendor publishes whether answers come from official APIs or from the consumer interfaces, and the research behind this page could not settle it for either.
What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith checks the prompts you define on a schedule and keeps the full answer history for each one. It reports mention rate, citation rate, share of voice and sentiment, and the Pages view ties citations to your specific pages. Engine coverage rises by plan, from ChatGPT on Pro to all ten engines on Enterprise.
Engine coverage
Adobe has the broader coverage on paper, at up to ten LLM families. Its product pages name five of them (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Claude and Microsoft Copilot), release notes add others in specific modules, and no matrix shows which engines a given license samples. Clearscope covers ChatGPT and Gemini on every plan, with Claude advertised on its product pages.
Because neither publishes a per-plan engine list, the safest approach is to ask each for the engines on your exact contract before you compare scores. The same prompt can also look different on different engines, so a score from one tool is not directly comparable with a score from another.
Content grading and drafting
In Clearscope vs Adobe Brand Visibility, Clearscope wins the grading axis clearly. Its Content Grade scores a draft against the terms used by top-ranking pages, rates each term from 1 to 10, and updates as you write. Draft with AI generates a full article from an intent, a tone and an outline, and the Google Docs add-on and WordPress plugin bring the guidance into the tools writers already use. Adobe does not describe a grader, and a G2 reviewer asked for a writing assistant.
Grading is a page-level aid. It tells a writer which terms a page is missing, and it does not tell a team which of its pages AI engines cite today. Clearscope's mention tracking adds some of that signal, and one practical answer to the question in the title is that a grader is enough when your main job is improving pages a team already plans to write.
What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith applies keyword coverage, heading structure, schema, internal links and metadata while the article is written, so the work happens during creation. Output is a finished article in your brand voice, grounded in Deep IQ, and a term-grade score is not part of that flow.
Pricing and value
Clearscope is the clearer purchase. Essentials is $129 a month and Business is $399, both with unlimited users, a 14-day trial and no minimum contract on monthly plans. Annual prices are not shown on its pricing page, and Business keeps the same 20 Drafts as Essentials, so extra output comes from add-ons.
Adobe's cost depends on a sales order. Licenses are set in prompts per year, the paid entitlement includes Semrush Enterprise AIO, and Adobe lists up to 1,000 optimization deployments a year. The trial for eligible customers covers 100 prompts, one domain and up to 50 URLs for one opportunity type. Without a price, a buyer cannot compare it directly with anything.
What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith publishes every plan. At $399 a month, Scale includes 90 articles and 200 tracked prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and Clearscope's Business plan at the same price includes 300 tracked queries and 20 Drafts. Tracking and article production share one subscription, so you do not pay for the two jobs in two places.
Setup, security and access
Clearscope is quicker to start. You connect a Search Console property, and the setup guide says initial collection can take up to 30 minutes. SSO is Enterprise only, and no public security attestations were found. Adobe's route is heavier. Crawler and referral views depend on CDN log forwarding and edge access, and impact measurement can need about a two-week baseline. Its January 2026 security overview describes US East hosting, TLS 1.2 or higher, AES-256 at rest and no use of customer data for model training, though SOC 2, ISO 27001 and SSO terms are not stated for this product.
What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith goes from signup to a working workspace in minutes, with your brand brief, competitors, starter tracking prompts and first batch of ideas populated before you pay. It is SOC 2, GDPR and ISO certified, and it offers a read-only REST API and an MCP server for pulling data into your own tools.
From insight to action
For Adobe Brand Visibility vs Clearscope for GEO, Adobe is the one that acts on a finding. It can push a fix to the CDN edge or into Adobe Experience Manager and measure the effect in Adobe Analytics, which is a real advantage for an enterprise that owns that stack. Clearscope turns a finding into a recommendation in an editor, and a writer still has to do the work. Neither one documents scheduled writing and publishing of new articles.
What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith takes the finding all the way to a published piece. Opportunity Agents return ideas with their evidence, Planned Content schedules them, and Autowrite writes each one on its date and lands it in Produced Content for review or publishing. The whole loop from tracking to production runs in one platform.
Which should you choose
- DeepSmith: teams that want to track AI visibility and produce the content that closes the gaps without stitching two tools together, from a lean marketing team publishing weekly to an agency running several brands.
- Adobe Brand Visibility: large enterprises already on Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe Analytics that can involve IT for CDN setup and want fixes deployed at the edge and revenue attribution in one Adobe contract.
- Clearscope: in-house writers and SEO teams who draft in Google Docs or WordPress, want term-based grading and refresh alerts, and are fine with basic AI mention tracking on the side.
