Both tools record which sources AI answers cite, and they split on your own pages. Conductor has a Pages report that shows each page's AI citations and the prompts behind them, and it keeps full answers you can review. Adobe Brand Visibility describes page-level attribution only in part and does not say whether it stores answer text. DeepSmith also reports cited pages, with each page's share of your citations, and then writes and publishes the next pages from that data in the same platform.

Adobe Brand Visibility (LLM Optimizer) and Conductor both track AI answers, and both record the sources those answers cite. The question in Adobe Brand Visibility vs Conductor for citation tracking is narrower. When AI cites a page on your own site, which tool shows you that page, and how far back can you look? This page covers that one job and leaves the full feature comparison to the main page. DeepSmith is a third option, since it reports cited pages too and then helps you write more of them.

Adobe Brand Visibility (LLM Optimizer)

Homepage of Adobe Brand Visibility (LLM Optimizer), announcing that Adobe LLM Optimizer is now Adobe Brand Visibility.

Adobe Brand Visibility is what Adobe has sold since 31 July 2026. It grew out of Adobe LLM Optimizer, which launched in June 2025, and existing contracts carry over. It is built for large enterprises, especially ones already on Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe Analytics, and it is sold through sales with no public price.

On citations, Adobe says it benchmarks citation share across major LLMs and shows which third-party sources shape AI answers. Its tour says it shows where and how often your content appears in AI results, but a per-page citation report is not described, so own-page attribution counts as partial. The standout is acting on findings, since Adobe describes CDN-edge deployment of optimizations with rollback. The main limit is setup, because crawler and referral views depend on CDN log forwarding, which one G2 reviewer called an onboarding barrier. G2 shows 3.7/5 from five reviews, four of them incentivized, so the sample is thin.

Conductor

Homepage of Conductor, the enterprise SEO and AEO platform.

Conductor is an enterprise SEO and AEO platform founded in 2006 in New York. Its AI Search Performance tracks mentions, citations, sentiment and share of voice across eight engines. The Pages report shows AI citations per page, and Page Details lists the prompts that cite each one. It has been in beta since 23 July 2026. Conductor also shows a Top Cited Page for each topic.

The standout is the depth of the data, including the full AI response for each prompt and the fan-out queries behind it. The limits are price and access. There are no public prices, and the Essentials and Growth plans list 2,500 AI Search credits a year, which third-party research says cost between 0.1 and 2 credits per response depending on the engine. Reviewers praise support and training, and some say the price is hard to justify for smaller teams. G2 shows 4.5/5 from 788 reviews as of September 2026.

DeepSmith: the alternative that reports cited pages and writes the next ones

Homepage of DeepSmith, the AI search analytics and content production platform.

Conductor and DeepSmith both report which of your pages AI cites, so the difference is what happens next. DeepSmith's Pages view shows which of your pages AI actually cites, each page's share of your total citations, and the prompts driving them. Every tracked prompt keeps full answer history, so you can read what an engine said and which sources it named.

The next step runs in the same platform. Opportunity Agents read that data and return content ideas, each with the data point that justifies it, such as getting cited for a tracked prompt or turning mentions into citations. The Writer turns a planned idea into a finished, brand-grounded article that is researched and internally linked, with a cover image and publish-ready metadata. Produced Content then publishes it to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful, or to your own webhooks, and Repurpose adds social posts to each finished article. Conductor says final publishing stays in your CMS, and Adobe's description covers changes to existing pages without describing new articles, so going from a cited page to a new published one is the step DeepSmith adds.

Pricing is published. Pro is $99 a month ($80 billed annually) with 50 tracked prompts and 20 articles a month, tracking ChatGPT. Grow is $199 and adds Perplexity, and Scale is $399 and adds Gemini. Enterprise is custom and covers all ten engines. There is a 7-day free trial and no long-term contract, and DeepSmith is rated 4.8/5 on G2.

Page-level citation reporting

On Adobe Brand Visibility vs Conductor cited pages, Conductor leads. Its Pages report ties AI citations to individual pages and lists the prompts behind each one, and the same page view carries AI referral sessions through Google Analytics 4 or Adobe Analytics. Adobe Brand Visibility reports citation share and the third-party sources shaping answers, but whether it breaks citations out per owned URL is an open question in the research, so we score it partial. The Conductor report is also still in beta, so the layout may change.

What DeepSmith does: the Pages view lists the pages AI cites, shows each page's share of your total citations, and opens to the prompts driving them. The same data feeds Opportunity Agents, so a page that earns citations becomes a reason to write the next one.

Answer history and refresh cadence

Conductor leads here too. You can view the full AI response for each prompt, export it to XLSX, and keep the history of prompts you stopped tracking. It runs daily, weekly or monthly, and the retention period is not stated. Adobe does not say whether it stores full answer text. Its Brand Presence refreshes weekly by default, and a daily refresh can be requested during onboarding at a possible extra fee. Adobe's release notes also say editing some categories can reset earlier history, and counting of mentions and citations changed in August 2026, so older trend lines may not line up with current ones.

What DeepSmith does: each tracked prompt keeps its full answer history, and the platform checks your questions on a schedule you set in Settings. You can read what an engine said on a given date and see which sources it cited.

Trials and access

Conductor is easier to test. It offers a free trial with no credit card, advertised as three weeks, for Intelligence, Creator or Monitoring. Adobe has no public trial. The only free access is a limited one for eligible Adobe Experience Manager Cloud Service or Adobe Analytics customers, covering 100 prompts and one domain for activations after April 2026. Neither vendor publishes a price, so a budget conversation starts with a sales call either way.

What DeepSmith does: plans are listed on the pricing page, from $99 a month on Pro, and the 7-day trial gives you real tracking data and real drafts before you pay.

From insight to action

Once you know which pages AI cites, the question is what you do with that. The two tools split on how. Conductor links its recommendations into Writing Assistant, which produces outlines and full drafts grounded in brand context, with up to 60 drafts a year on Essentials and 180 on Growth. Adobe focuses on existing pages, with edge deployments served to AI agents and updates through Adobe Experience Manager. For a team that wants new drafts, Conductor fits better, and for an Adobe shop that wants to change pages in place, Adobe does. Neither publishes new articles to a CMS on its own.

What DeepSmith does: the Writer produces the finished article from an idea, with internal links, a cover image and metadata, and Produced Content publishes it to your CMS. Autowrite can take it all the way to published without anyone in the app, so tracking, writing and publishing run in one platform.

Which should you choose

Picking Adobe Brand Visibility or Conductor for citation tracking mostly depends on how you buy and what you want to do after the report.

  • DeepSmith fits teams that want to see which pages AI cites and keep producing the pages that earn more citations, with published prices and a self-serve trial.
  • Conductor fits an enterprise SEO team that wants per-page citation reporting and stored answers next to keyword and technical data, and can buy through sales.
  • Adobe Brand Visibility fits a large team already on Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe Analytics that wants its AI reporting and page changes inside that contract.

How often does each tool refresh?

Adobe Brand Visibility refreshes weekly by default, and daily refresh can be requested, possibly at an extra fee. Conductor tracks daily, weekly or monthly, and each response uses credits. With DeepSmith you set how often collection runs.
