Evertune vs SE Ranking AI Visibility: Buying Guide for Media and SEO Teams

Dark monochrome cover reading Media Buying or SEO?, with a central answer card branching to a cluster of layered ad-style cards on one side and a stack of search result bars with a small bar chart on the other.

Evertune and SE Ranking AI Visibility answer different questions. Evertune samples each prompt repeatedly across 11 AI models and connects the data to content, affiliate placements and ads, but it sells through a demo from $800 a month. SE Ranking AI Visibility tracks five engines inside a self-serve SEO suite from $129 a month, with a 14-day no-card trial. DeepSmith is a strong alternative on owned content: tracking feeds Opportunity Agents and the Writer, with CMS publishing, repurposing and SOC 2 on self-serve plans from $99 a month.

Evertune vs SE Ranking AI Visibility is mostly a question about who owns the budget. If the money and the decisions sit with the people who buy affiliate and programmatic media, Evertune is built around that. If they sit with the SEO team that already tracks rankings and audits the site, SE Ranking AI Visibility fits that work more naturally. DeepSmith sits beside both for teams that want to track AI answers and publish the articles that respond to them.

Evertune vs SE Ranking AI Visibility: the short answer

  • Choose DeepSmith if you want to track AI answers and publish the articles that close the gaps from one self-serve account, with plans at $99, $199 and $399 a month, SOC 2 certification and a 7-day free trial.
  • Choose Evertune if you need each prompt sampled repeatedly across 11 AI models, up to 100,000 tracked prompts, and a path from visibility gaps to affiliate placements and ads, and you are fine buying through a demo at $800 a month.
  • Choose SE Ranking AI Visibility if your SEO team wants AI tracking next to rank tracking and site audits, from $129 a month, with a 14-day no-card trial and API and MCP access on every plan.

Evertune

Evertune homepage headed Own the AI customer journey, with a chart of AI visibility across models and a Request a demo button.

Evertune is a New York based AI search marketing platform, founded in 2024 by early team members of The Trade Desk. It measures how AI models mention and rank a brand against competitors, then connects the gaps to content, site fixes, affiliate placements and ChatGPT and programmatic ads. Prompts come from EverPanel, a consumer prompt panel that Evertune says holds more than 150 million prompts or conversations.

It is built for mid-market and enterprise brands, and the agencies that serve them, that want high-volume data and don't mind a sales process. The standout is the method. Evertune says every prompt is asked 100 times per model, and it separates base-model answers collected through provider APIs from answers in consumer apps. Pro is listed at $800 a month with 100,000 tracked prompts and 25 articles a month, and Enterprise is custom.

The limits sit around buying and proof. Both plans say "Request a demo", there is no free plan or standard trial, and the pricing page doesn't give an annual price, a seat count or what counts as one prompt. G2 showed zero Evertune reviews on September 30, 2026, so the proof points are Evertune's own case studies. Content leaves the platform as Markdown or HTML, and the ads modules are still in beta.

SE Ranking AI Visibility

SE Ranking homepage headed AI Visibility Tracker that fits your delivery map, with start free trial and request a demo buttons.

SE Ranking is an SEO platform founded in 2013, and its AI Search Toolkit tracks how a brand is mentioned, linked and positioned in answers from Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. It sits inside the same account as rank tracking, keyword and backlink research and site audits. The AI Results Tracker captures answers through the interface the way a user would see them, checks tracked prompts daily and reports mentions, links, positions, cited sources and competitors.

It is built for SEO teams and agencies that already run a full suite and want prompt-level AI tracking next to it. The standout is that AI tracking is included in Core at $129 a month, with an API and a hosted MCP server on every plan and a trial that needs no card. The limits are packaging and coverage. There are three ways to buy, in different units, and Claude and Microsoft Copilot are not tracked. Sentiment lives in the separate SE Visible product, and no SOC 2 or SSO statement appears on its pages.

SE Ranking holds 4.7/5 on G2 from 1,606 reviews as of September 2026, but that rating covers the whole suite, not the AI product. AI-specific reviewers value repeatable monitoring and ask for more flexible prompt and source organization.

DeepSmith: the alternative that tracks and publishes owned content on self-serve terms

DeepSmith homepage headed One platform for AI search analytics and content production, with a 7-day free trial button and an analytics dashboard.

Both tools stop short of the same step for a team that wants the answer to show up in its own published articles. Evertune writes drafts in Content Studio, but its records show the output leaving as a Markdown or HTML download, with no CMS connector named and no repurposing feature described. SE Ranking keeps its writing and content tools at the suite level, apart from the AI tracking product, and exports to WordPress from a content add-on. Neither record shows publishing and channel repurposing on the same plan as tracking, and that is where DeepSmith is built.

DeepSmith tracks how AI engines answer questions about your brand and produces the on-brand content that closes the gaps from the same data. The AI visibility module reports mention rate, citation rate and share of voice as separate metrics, with a per-engine breakdown and a competitor leaderboard.

DeepSmith's AI Visibility overview shows mention rate, citation rate and share of voice as separate metrics, with a per-engine breakdown and a competitor leaderboard, all on demo data.

Opportunity Agents read that visibility data and return content ideas with the data point that justifies each one. The Writer turns a planned idea into a finished article with research, internal and external links, a cover image and publish-ready metadata, grounded in Deep IQ, which stores your product, persona, voice and content type once. Autowrite can run that on a schedule with no one in the app.

DeepSmith's Produced Content view lists finished articles and shows one with a cover image, word, section and link counts and a Publish button, all on demo data.

Finished articles publish to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful, or to your own webhooks, and each article arrives with social posts already written. All of it runs on plans of $99, $199 and $399 a month ($80, $160 and $299 billed annually) with a 7-day free trial and no long-term contracts, and DeepSmith is SOC 2, GDPR and ISO certified. It is rated 4.8/5 on G2.

Engine coverage and data method

Evertune has the wider coverage and the heavier sampling, so it wins this axis between the two. It lists 11 AI models: ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, Gemini Search, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Meta AI, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity and DeepSeek. Its help center adds a detail that is easy to miss, which is that Claude, Meta AI and DeepSeek are sampled only as base models through APIs or open weights, not in their consumer apps. Perplexity and Copilot are consumer-app only, and Grok is not listed. Each prompt is asked 100 times per model, and Evertune states a margin of error of about 1 point overall and 2 at the topic level.

SE Ranking AI Visibility tracks five engines: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. It captures answers the way a real user would see them and checks each tracked prompt daily. Its pages don't document repeated sampling within a check, and they don't disclose model versions. Country and language settings apply to AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini, while ChatGPT and Perplexity ignore region. Full answer text is kept for 30 days through the API, and presence metrics are kept for one year.

These tools don't always give the same answer to the same question, so the way a vendor handles that matters. Repeated sampling gives a steadier number for one prompt on one day. Daily checks give you a trend across months. Both are reasonable, and which one you value depends on whether you report on single prompts or on direction over time.

What DeepSmith does: it covers ten named engines, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Grok, Meta AI, Microsoft Copilot and DeepSeek, with coverage rising by plan. Pro tracks ChatGPT, Grow adds Perplexity, Scale adds Gemini, and Enterprise covers all ten. Every tracked prompt keeps its full answer history.

Pricing and buying path

On price, SE Ranking AI Visibility vs Evertune is a question of starting point, since SE Ranking is the easier one to start with and Evertune lists the larger prompt allowance. SE Ranking Core is $129 a month ($103.20 billed annually) and includes 100 prompts tracked daily on five engines, 10 projects and one manager seat. Growth is $279 a month ($223.20 annually) with 250 daily prompts, 30 projects and three seats. The 14-day trial needs no card and includes 20 AI prompts a day.

SE Ranking's packaging takes some care to read. An AI Search add-on runs $89, $179 and $345 a month for 200, 450 and 1,000 checks, where one check is one prompt on one engine, although the pricing page calls them prompts. SE Visible starts at $99 a month as a separate product. SE Ranking doesn't say how the plan's daily prompts and the add-on's monthly checks combine, so ask for that in writing before you buy.

Evertune's Pro plan is $800 a month and includes 100,000 tracked prompts across 11 AI models, daily, weekly or monthly tracking, 25 articles a month and three onboarding sessions. Enterprise is custom. Everything goes through a demo request. The platform terms allow per-prompt usage fees and overages, and the ChatGPT Ads Manager charges a percentage of ad spend, with rates set on the order page. What one of the 100,000 prompts counts as is not defined, so the headline allowance is hard to compare with a daily-prompt figure.

What DeepSmith does: it publishes its prices and lets you start without a call. Pro is $99 a month for 50 tracked prompts and 20 articles, Grow is $199 for 100 prompts and 40 articles, and Scale is $399 for 200 prompts and 90 articles. Annual billing brings those to $80, $160 and $299 a month.

Tracking depth and source analysis

Evertune has the deeper measurement set, and SE Ranking AI Visibility documents how it counts more plainly. Evertune reports a Visibility Score and an AI Brand Score that weights position, where position 1 counts 100% and position 2 counts 90%. It adds a word association view with a sentiment score from -100 to +100, and a Content Analytics report that scores each cited URL on topic relevance, brand relevance and sentiment. Shopping Intelligence tracks ChatGPT shopping cards. For a media team, the Prompt Volumes tool sizes how often a topic is asked, using the EverPanel data.

SE Ranking AI Visibility records mentions, linked versus unlinked mentions and the position of each, plus a Sources tab that lists cited domains and pages and flags sources that mention competitors but not you. Competitor research covers 5 domains on Core and 15 on Growth. It is also the one of the two that tracks ads shown in ChatGPT and AI Mode answers, which Evertune does not describe doing. Sentiment is in SE Visible rather than the AI Results Tracker, and query fan-out and AI traffic analytics are marked as coming soon.

What DeepSmith does: it reports mention rate, citation rate, share of voice and sentiment, and its Pages view shows which of your own pages AI cites, each page's share of your citations and the prompts driving them. Competitor citations are listed by exact page. DeepSmith's plans don't include ad tracking or crawler analytics, and what they do instead is tie each gap to an idea and an article.

From insight to action

Evertune goes further from insight to action, and SE Ranking AI Visibility keeps the action inside SEO work. This is the axis that bears most on the media-or-SEO question.

Evertune's Insights Agent reviews the account weekly and prioritizes the next moves. Content Studio builds briefs from visibility gaps and writes full drafts in one of six templates, 250 to 3,000 words, following the brand guidelines you add. Site Audit scans up to 1,000 pages the way an AI crawler would. Partner Connect then maps the URLs that AI cites to affiliate networks such as impact.com and PartnerStack and to programmatic platforms such as The Trade Desk and Index Exchange. The ChatGPT Ads Manager and AI Retargeting are both still in beta, so check their availability before you plan around them.

SE Ranking AI Visibility turns its data into recommendations such as untracked AI Overview keywords and sources that mention competitors but not you, with suggested platforms like Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn. Its writing tools, the AI Writer and Content Marketing with 25 articles on Core, and the Content Editor sit at the suite level and are not tied to the AI tracking data on its pages. For an SEO team that already works in those tools, that is a familiar place to act.

What DeepSmith does: tracking feeds Opportunity Agents, and each idea carries the evidence behind it. The Writer produces the finished article and Autowrite can schedule it. The article then publishes to your CMS and repurposes into LinkedIn, X, newsletter and other channel versions in your brand voice through the Apps Library. The loop from a gap in AI answers to a published page stays in one place.

Integrations, API and security

SE Ranking AI Visibility wins on integrations and developer access. The AI Results Tracker has a project API and an AI Search Data API, a hosted MCP server with more than 180 tools, and Looker Studio, GA4, Search Console and Matomo connections on Core and Growth. Data can also route to AgencyAnalytics and Whatagraph, and automations run through Zapier, Make and n8n. An Agency Pack add-on at $69 a month, billed annually, adds white-label reporting for the SE Ranking platform.

Evertune doesn't describe a customer API, an MCP server, BI connectors or alerts on its public pages, and its own January 2026 comparison page credits a competitor with a Google Analytics integration. It does list SSO on Enterprise. On security, Evertune's January 2026 page says SOC 2 Type II is in progress, and SE Ranking states no certification on the pages that were reviewed. Neither is proof of absence, so ask each for current documents if procurement requires them.

What DeepSmith does: it offers a read-only REST API and an MCP server with 23 read-only tools that works with Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Microsoft Copilot and other assistants, plus signed webhooks for content status changes and agent runs. DeepSmith is SOC 2, GDPR and ISO certified.

Which should you choose

Choosing between Evertune or SE Ranking AI Visibility starts with where AI visibility lives in your company. It belongs with media buying when the same people buy affiliate or programmatic placements and want the data to decide where that money goes. It belongs with SEO when the team already owns rank tracking, audits and reporting, and AI answers are one more surface in that work. The three options split along those lines.

  • DeepSmith fits content and marketing teams, and agencies, that want to track AI answers and publish the articles that respond to them without buying a suite or booking a demo. It covers measurement, ideas, production, CMS publishing and repurposing on one self-serve plan from $99 a month.
  • Evertune fits a mid-market or enterprise brand that buys affiliate or programmatic media, wants each prompt sampled repeatedly across 11 AI models, and has the budget and patience for a demo. Check which of the advertising modules are out of beta first.
  • SE Ranking AI Visibility fits an SEO team or agency that already runs, or wants, a full SEO suite, can work with five engines, and values a no-card trial, an API and MCP on every plan. If you are weighing SE Ranking AI Visibility vs Evertune for a media-led brand, keep in mind that its ad tracking watches ads in AI answers rather than buying them.
