For an agency, Peec AI is the better fit for running AI visibility across many clients, because it sells agency plans with a shared credit pool, unlimited client users and a public API. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is the better fit for client-ready, white-label reports, but it handles more than one client only through add-ons. DeepSmith is a strong alternative when the agency also does the client work, since Multi-Workspace keeps each client separate and the platform writes and publishes each client's articles.
Choosing Peec AI or Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit for agencies usually means asking two things at once: how do I set up many clients, and how do I show each one a report. This page covers only the agency job, and the full comparison of both tools covers the rest. The two tools split those answers. Peec AI is built around the first, and the Semrush toolkit is built around the second. DeepSmith covers both tracking and production for each client in one place.
Peec AI vs Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit for agencies: the short answer
- Choose DeepSmith if you want to track each client and also produce their articles: Multi-Workspace gives every client its own context, content and plan, and plans start at $99 a month with a 7-day free trial.
- Choose Peec AI if you need a dedicated agency plan, from $245 a month, with 3 to 25 client projects, unlimited team and client users, and API access.
- Choose Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit if your main deliverable is a branded client report and you are fine adding the $20 a month Pro Report add-on, a $99 license per extra user and a $99 charge per extra domain.

Peec AI

Peec AI is an AI search analytics tool that runs a client's tracked prompts daily and reports visibility, position, sentiment and the sources each answer cites. For agencies it sells separate plans. Agency Essential is $245 a month for 3 projects, Growth is $495 for 10, and Scale is $795 for 25, with a custom Comprehensive tier above that. The plans share a pool of credits across all client projects, and Peec says agencies also get free 7-day pitch projects that do not count against the client quota.
Reviewers on G2 give Peec AI 4.8/5 from 20 reviews (checked September 29, 2026), and they mostly praise the interface and quick setup. TrustRadius has a single review, rated 10/10. The limits to know about are that the product does not write content, so your team creates the pages itself, and that no SOC 2 report could be verified as of the same date. For a longer look, see our Peec review.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit sits inside the Semrush platform and measures how often ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity mention and cite a brand. It is sold on its own at $99 a month, or inside the Semrush One bundles at $199 to $549 a month. Its reports are the strongest part for agencies, since results flow into My Reports with PDF export, scheduling and shareable dashboards.
The standalone allowances are small. It covers 25 tracked prompts and one Brand Performance domain, and each extra 50 prompts costs $60 a month. The G2 score of 4.4/5 from 4,046 reviews (checked September 30, 2026) rates the whole Semrush suite, and Capterra shows 4.6/5 from 2,329 reviews for it as well. Suite reviewers often mention cost and paid extras. There is more detail in our Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit review.
DeepSmith: the alternative that does the client work, not only the reporting

Both tools stop at measurement. Peec AI says the user creates the content, and Semrush says acting on the data happens manually or in a separately sold content toolkit. For an agency, that means every client report ends with a to-do list that someone on your team still has to write, edit and publish.
DeepSmith tracks and produces in one platform. Multi-Workspace runs multiple brands or clients from one account, each fully isolated with its own context, content and plan, and each workspace is billed and limited independently. Inside a workspace, AI Visibility tracks mention rate, citation rate and share of voice across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini on the plans that include them, and all ten engines on Enterprise. Opportunity Agents turn those gaps into ideas that carry their evidence, and the Writer turns each planned idea into a publish-ready article with internal and external links, a cover image and metadata. Deep IQ stores the client's brand voice and product context, so the output sounds like that client. Articles publish straight to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful, and the Apps Library turns each one into LinkedIn, newsletter and other channel versions.

Plans run $99 a month for Pro (20 articles, 50 prompts, 5 seats), $199 for Grow (40 articles, 100 prompts, 7 seats) and $399 for Scale (90 articles, 200 prompts, 10 seats), with lower rates on annual billing. DeepSmith is rated 4.8/5 on G2, and the 7-day free trial lets you set up a client workspace before you pay.

Client and brand structure
Peec AI wins on structure. Its agency plans were designed for several clients: a credit pool is shared across projects (one prompt on one model for one day uses one credit), team and client seats are unlimited, billing is consolidated, and the entry plan gives 10,000 credits for 3 projects. Essential tracks six models and the higher plans add more, with Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and others on Scale and above.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit handles more than one client by adding to the plan. Brand Performance covers one domain per plan, extra domains or locations are $99 a month each, and every additional user needs a separate $99 toolkit license. Multi-brand tracking sits in the Enterprise tier, so an agency with many clients ends up either paying per unit or moving to a sales-led plan. Peec AI vs Semrush AI Visibility for agencies is mostly a question of whether you want to buy a pool or buy units.
What DeepSmith does: Multi-Workspace gives each client a workspace with its own context, content and plan, so one client's brand voice and tracked prompts never mix with another's. Your team can be invited as owners or members, and a new client workspace is set up from the client's website in minutes. For more on running this day to day, see how a lean agency can track AI-search visibility across client brands.
Client reporting and white-label
Semrush wins on reporting. White-label AI visibility reporting runs through My Reports, with branding and white-labeling available in the Pro Report add-on at $20 a month, and a Base Report add-on at $10 a month. Reports can be scheduled, exported to PDF and shared by link.
Peec AI gives every brand plan shareable view-only dashboards. White-label output comes from cloned Looker Studio (Data Studio) templates, which are available from Advanced on the brand plans, plus read-only links or reports built through its MCP server. Peec does not describe a native in-app white-label option, so an agency that wants a branded PDF each month will build part of it by hand. If branded delivery is the main thing you resell, our guide to the best white-label AEO platforms covers more options.
What DeepSmith does: Each workspace reports mention rate, citation rate and share of voice with trends, a per-platform breakdown and a competitor leaderboard. It also shows which of the client's pages AI actually cites, and the prompts behind each, which gives you a concrete line to bring to a client call about what the content produced. We cover how to prove content ROI to clients through citations.
API and data access
Peec AI wins on data access. It documents a Customer API in JSON, and the beta status matters: the docs and plan card say Enterprise, the pricing grid checks it from Pro, and the agency page says Essential and above. It also offers an MCP server on every paid plan, CSV exports on every plan and the Looker Studio connector.
Semrush's API documentation covers SEO, Projects, Local and Trends data, and no AI visibility endpoints are documented. API integration is advertised on Semrush One Advanced at $549 a month and on Enterprise. Its MCP server documents SEO, traffic and backlink data rather than AI visibility data, though Starter and Pro+ include 50,000 MCP units.
What DeepSmith does: A read-only REST API gives you AI visibility data, Content Map, the content library including article bodies, and Deep IQ assets, with scoped keys, 120 requests per minute per workspace and no credits spent on reads. The MCP server exposes 23 read-only tools to Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other assistants, and signed webhooks notify your systems when content changes status.
From insight to action
Neither tool settles this one, because neither writes. Peec AI says users create the content themselves, and its Actions point out gaps, with rewrites possible only through an outside assistant over MCP. Semrush's toolkit measures and recommends, and the content work moves to its separately sold Content Toolkit. For an agency, tracking is the smaller part of the monthly deliverable, and the work that follows each report is where hours go. For ways to cover the gap, see the best tools that track and write for AI search.
What DeepSmith does: Opportunity Agents return ideas with the data point that justifies each one, so you can defend the backlog to the client. Planned Content schedules those ideas, and Autowrite can write each article on its date and land it in Produced Content with no one in the app. You review, edit and publish to the client's CMS, and Repurpose ships social posts with every article. Writing and tracking draw on the same client context, so the content closes the gaps the tracking found. You can see how this works in our guide to a multi-client AI content workflow.
Which should you choose
- DeepSmith fits an agency that wants to track AI visibility for each client and also produce and publish their content, with each client isolated in its own workspace and plans from $99 a month.
- Peec AI fits an agency that only needs tracking, wants many client projects on one credit pool with unlimited client users, and needs an API. See DeepSmith vs Peec for the track-and-produce comparison.
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit fits an agency with a few clients that already works in Semrush and wants branded, scheduled reports. See DeepSmith vs Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit for that pairing.
