You opened Brand Radar, saw a share of voice number, and thought: okay, now what?
That feeling is normal. Brand Radar is good at telling you where you stand in AI answers. It was never built to fix it. So if you are hunting for Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives, you are probably not unhappy with the data. You are stuck on the part that comes after the data.
Here is the good news. The market has moved fast, and there are now seven serious ai visibility tracker alternatives that each solve a different slice of that problem. Some go deeper on measurement. Some go wider on engines. One closes the loop and writes the content.
Let's walk through them together, and by the end you will know which one fits your team.
How we ranked these Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives
A roundup is only useful if you know what the ranking rewards. Here are the six things we weighed, in order:
- AI-engine coverage. How many engines you get, and whether they are included, gated behind a tier, or sold as an add-on.
- Prompt and answer detail. Can you define your own buyer questions, read the full answer, see who was cited, and compare competitors at the prompt level?
- Actionability. Does the tool report a gap, recommend a fix, or actually produce the content that closes it?
- Marketing workflow fit. Brand context, calendar, SEO and AEO structure, internal links, CMS publishing, distribution, APIs.
- Cost clarity. Published price, prompt allowance, credit mechanics, and what happens when you run out.
- Honest constraints. Missing engines, opaque pricing, or a limit that changes the decision.
This is an editorial ranking based on what each vendor publishes, captured on 2 September 2026. It is not a controlled benchmark, and nobody here can guarantee you a citation. Pricing and engine coverage on these products change often, so check the live page before you buy.
One more thing worth saying up front. Every price and feature below comes from each vendor's own published material. Where a vendor did not publish a detail clearly, we say so instead of guessing.
What Brand Radar actually does, so you know what to replace
Before you shop, get clear on which part of Brand Radar you are replacing. This list covers the AI-visibility function only, not Site Explorer, backlinks, or Keywords Explorer.
Brand Radar runs an AI Visibility Index built from search-backed prompts, plus a Custom Prompts product for questions you pick yourself. It benchmarks brands, surfaces mentions and citations, shows which pages and sources get cited, and points at opportunities to be mentioned.
Its help material names Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, and Claude. Claude runs on Custom Prompts only, through an API, and consumes eight checks per check. Ahrefs also notes that new Grok data is temporarily unavailable.
Pricing on the captured help page is $199 per month per single platform index, or $699 per month for all platforms with 2,500 custom checks included. Custom Prompts sit on their own tiers: $50 for 2,500 checks, $100 for 7,000, and $250 for 25,000, with overage per check above that. One check equals one prompt run on one model in one location.
Here is the gap that sends people looking. The Brand Radar pages describe monitoring, benchmarking, reports, and opportunity discovery. They do not describe writing finished articles, enforcing a brand voice, scheduling content, publishing to a CMS, or repurposing. Data goes out through an API, Reports Builder, and Looker Studio. Those are reporting connections, not a production line.
So when you look at brand radar competitors, the real question is not "who has more prompts." It is "who helps me act on what I find."

1. DeepSmith

Best for: marketing leads who want one place to see where AI mentions them, find the pages and topics behind the gap, and produce the on-brand content that closes it.
DeepSmith ranks first here because of the criteria, not because we publish this. Six of the seven tools on this list stop at telling you something is wrong. DeepSmith is the one that connects a visibility finding to an idea, a planned article, a finished draft, a publish step, and the social posts that follow it.
If your bottleneck is knowing, another tracker helps. If your bottleneck is doing, that is a different product.
What you get on the measurement side
AI Visibility reports Mention Rate, Citation Rate, Share of Voice, Sentiment, and Visibility Trend. The Overview gives you trends, a per-platform breakdown, a competitor leaderboard, and the sources AI cites most often.
Prompts are the buyer questions you choose to track. Each one carries its own mention and citation rate plus full answer history, so you can read the actual answer instead of a score. Discover Prompts generates a starter set from your product, persona, and buyer-stage context, which saves you the blank-page problem on day one.

Pages shows which of your own URLs AI cites, each page's share of your total citations, and the prompts driving them. Competitor citations names who wins a prompt, on which exact page, and how each rival performs per engine.
Ten engines are covered in total: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Grok, Meta AI, Microsoft Copilot, and DeepSeek.
What you get on the production side
This is the part no other entry on this list documents end to end.
Content Map crawls your site and unlimited competitor sites, sorts every page onto a shared topic taxonomy and a funnel stage, and re-checks sitemaps every 24 hours. Coverage gaps show topics where a competitor publishes more than you. Untapped topics show where they publish and you have nothing at all.
Opportunity Agents read your visibility and Content Map data and hand back ideas with the evidence attached. Get cited for a tracked prompt. Turn a mention into a citation. Take a competitor's citations. Close a decision-stage gap against up to four competitors at once. Every idea carries the data point that justifies it, so you can defend the backlog in a meeting instead of guessing.
Content Studio moves those ideas through New Ideas, Planned Content, and Produced Content. The Writer turns one planned idea into a finished, brand-grounded article with internal and external links, a cover image, and publish-ready metadata. Autowrite writes it on its scheduled date with nobody in the app.
Keyword coverage, heading structure, schema markup, internal linking, and metadata happen during creation, not in a review cycle afterwards. Deep IQ stores your positioning, products, personas, brand voice, visual guidelines, and content types once, so every draft runs on the same context. Repurpose and the Apps Library turn a finished article into LinkedIn, X, newsletter, Reddit, and other channel formats.
Publishing goes straight to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity, or Contentful, with webhooks plus Markdown and HTML export as fallbacks.

Pricing
| Plan | Monthly | Annual per month | Articles/mo | Prompts | Seats | Engines |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $99 | $80 | 20 | 50 | 5 | ChatGPT |
| Grow | $199 | $160 | 40 | 100 | 7 | ChatGPT, Perplexity |
| Scale | $399 | $299 | 90 | 200 | 10 | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | All 10 |
There is a 7-day free trial, no long-term contracts, and no cancellation fees.
Honest limitation
Engine coverage is tiered. Pro tracks ChatGPT, Grow adds Perplexity, Scale adds Gemini, and all ten engines require Enterprise or Custom. If you genuinely need to watch ten engines from day one on a self-serve plan, price the Enterprise conversation early.
For most teams that is a budget question rather than a blocker, because the engines that matter are usually the two or three where your buyers already ask questions. And the production workflow you get alongside them is not something you can buy on the lower tier of anything else here.
2. Profound

Best for: enterprise AEO, brand, and content teams that need broad engine coverage plus regional and persona-level analysis.
Profound's Answer Engine Insights queries the front-end experiences real users see instead of relying only on API responses, which is a meaningful design choice. It names nine engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Grok, and DeepSeek.
Key features. Prompt Tracking and Query Fanout. Prompt Volumes, a dataset of prompts real users actually submitted. Visibility scores, Share of Voice, brand sentiment, keyword themes, citation sources and their authority, and competitor rankings. It slices results across time, regions, topics, and personas, supports 30+ languages and 150+ regions, and exports to CSV. Profound Agents can build and publish content aimed at the prompts where you are losing.
Pricing. Starter is $99 per month billed yearly with 50 prompts, 1,500 responses, 100 credits, one seat, and ChatGPT only. Growth is $399 per month with 100 prompts, 9,000 responses, 400 credits, and three engines. Enterprise is custom and reaches up to nine engines, with API, SSO and SAML, SOC2, and a dedicated specialist.
Honest limitation. Engine count is gated hard on the self-serve plans, and API and SSO are Enterprise only. At the same $99 entry price you get one engine here. That said, if you are a large organization that needs regional depth, exports, and security review, Profound is the strongest enterprise pick on this list.
3. AthenaHQ

Best for: ecommerce and revenue teams that want AI visibility connected to commercial reporting.
AthenaHQ markets coverage across 8+ LLMs, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Grok. It runs on a credit model where one credit equals one AI response.
Key features. AI visibility tracking plus AthenaHQ Content, a recommendation engine that identifies what is stopping you from being cited and tells you what to fix. Its standout is native Shopify and Google Analytics integration, marketed as a way to attribute AI visibility to revenue. If you sell online and your CFO asks what AI search is worth, that is a real answer to have.
Pricing. A free Essential tier is surfaced with 300 credits and a $25 credit allowance. Self-serve is $295 per month with 3,600 credits. Enterprise is custom and not published.
Honest limitation. Cost tracks the number of AI responses you collect, so heavy monitoring gets expensive in a way a flat prompt allowance does not. Plan-by-plan prompt limits are also less transparent than Otterly's or ours. And the published material establishes recommendations, not a finished-article pipeline, so you still need somewhere to write.
4. Scrunch

Best for: technical teams that want AI visibility data flowing into their own dashboards, assistants, and automations.
Scrunch calls itself an AI Customer Experience Platform. It monitors brand presence in AI search, analyzes and optimizes your site, and delivers content directly to AI agents.
Key features. A documented API with Query, Responses, Agent Traffic, and Configuration endpoints. Scrunchie MCP connects Scrunch data to Claude, ChatGPT, and other assistants without code. Data Studio ships pre-built Looker Studio dashboard templates. The quickstart says a first API request returns brand-presence data in minutes. Agent Traffic data is genuinely differentiated: not many tools here tell you about the bots.
Pricing. Starts at $250 per month. The surfaced Core package shows 125 unique prompts and five site audits per month. The full plan table and model matrix are not public in the captured material.
Honest limitation. Public pricing and plan-by-plan engine coverage are less explicit than most of this list, so you will need a sales conversation to know what you are buying. Delivering content to AI agents is also not the same as writing it. There is no documented article writer, brand-context layer, calendar, or CMS pipeline.
5. OtterlyAI

Best for: solo marketers, small teams, and agencies that want prompt-level tracking without an enterprise contract.
Otterly sends your prompts to AI search engines and analyzes the responses for mentions, citations, and source links, including how you are positioned and the sentiment around the mention.
Key features. Brand coverage rate, Share of Voice, platform-by-platform visibility, trends, and average brand position. Compare your top five competitors or all of them. Prompt Research surfaces prompts, topics, and intent patterns in your category. GEO audits check crawlability, AI readiness, and citation potential, and there are Content Briefs and content audits on top. Standard and Premium include API, MCP, and Agent Analytics. There is a seven-day trial with no credit card.
Pricing. Lite is $29 per month with 15 prompts. Standard is $189 with 100 prompts. Premium is $489 with 400 prompts. Annual rates work out to $25, $160, and $422 per month. GEO audit allowances run 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000.
Honest limitation. The four included engines are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude are paid add-ons, and Claude in particular is steep: $29 per month on Lite, $109 on Standard, and $439 on Premium. Budget for engines separately. Otterly gives you briefs and audits, not finished articles.
6. Peec AI

Best for: analysts who want clean AI-search reporting and prompt discovery, with writing handled elsewhere.
Peec covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot by default, with OpenAI Search API, Claude Sonnet, Claude Haiku, DeepSeek, Qwen, Grok, and Mistral available as upgrades.
Key features. Prompts organize by topic, funnel stage, or market. Reporting covers visibility, position, sentiment, mention frequency, and Share of Voice, with competitor benchmarking on the same prompts. AI-suggested prompts use real search-volume data. Sources and Citations shows the exact URLs and domains cited and classifies each as Editorial, Corporate, UGC, Reference, or your own site, which is a genuinely useful lens when you are deciding where to earn coverage. Peec Actions turns that into prioritized, opportunity-scored next steps.
Pricing. Usage-based. One credit equals one prompt, on one model, for one day, so a daily prompt on one model runs 30 credits a month. Weekly tracking costs about a third of daily. A secondary current summary surfaced starting figures around $95 per month for brands and $245 for agencies, so treat those as starting points and check the live page.
Honest limitation. Peec states plainly that it does not write or publish content. Its models read HTML and cannot get behind paywalls or load JavaScript-dependent content. That separation is a feature if you like your writing stack. It is the whole problem if you were hoping to remove production work.
7. LLMrefs

Best for: budget-conscious brands, agencies, and SEO teams that want broad engine tracking at one flat price.
LLMrefs is an AI search analytics platform and LLM brand visibility tracker. Its materials name ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, and DeepSeek, with no per-engine fee. On engine breadth per dollar, nothing else here is close.
Key features. The All in One plan tracks 500 prompts for brand mentions, sources, and fanout queries, plus keyword rankings, citations, and competitor comparisons. Weekly reports refresh automatically. Geo-targeting spans 50+ countries and 20+ languages. Unlimited team members and projects, CSV export, and API access are included, which agencies will notice. There is also an AI crawlability checker, a Reddit threads finder, and an LLMs.txt generator.
Pricing. $79 per month for All in One. A free account is advertised with no credit card, though the free allowance is not clearly published.
Honest limitation. LLMrefs gives you tracking and SEO utilities, not a content calendar, a brand-voice writer, CMS publishing, or distribution. You supply that workflow yourself, or pair it with a production tool.
How to choose between these AI visibility tracker alternatives
There is no single right answer here. There is a right answer for your bottleneck. Find yourself below.
Pick DeepSmith if your problem is that you already know you are losing citations and cannot produce fast enough to fix it. Prompts, competitor data, Content Map gaps, evidence-backed ideas, brand voice, a calendar, Autowrite, publishing, and distribution live in one workflow.
Pick Profound if you are enterprise, need regional and persona depth, and require SSO, API access, and dedicated support.
Pick AthenaHQ if tying AI visibility to Shopify and Google Analytics revenue data matters more to you than a documented writing pipeline.
Pick Scrunch if you have engineers and want API, MCP, Looker Studio, and Agent Traffic data feeding your own systems.
Pick OtterlyAI if you are small, want to start at $29, and are happy keeping your existing writer and CMS.
Pick Peec AI if you want source classification and prompt discovery, and your writing stack is already fine.
Pick LLMrefs if breadth of engines at a low flat price beats workflow integration for you.
And a reminder that saves money: alternatives to Ahrefs Brand Radar do not have to be replacements. Plenty of teams keep Brand Radar for the Ahrefs index and add a dedicated platform for prompt history, recommendations, or production. Nothing here integrates natively with Ahrefs, so treat them as two tools in one process.
One last honest note on the numbers. Prompts, checks, credits, and responses are not the same unit. Ahrefs counts a check as one prompt times one model times one location. Peec counts one prompt on one model for one day. Athena counts one AI response. When you compare, convert to the same unit first or you will overpay.
Ready to close the gap, not just measure it?
If you have been tracking for months and your citation rate has not moved, tracking is not the missing piece. Production is.
Start a 7-day DeepSmith free trial and see real visibility data and real drafts before you pay. Plans are self-serve, there are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees, and you can start on Pro at $99 and move up when your engine coverage needs to widen.
You do not need a bigger team. You need the reporting and the writing to stop living in two different places.
