For agencies that manage AI visibility for several clients, Otterly.AI is the better fit of the two. It offers unlimited seats and brand reports on every plan, unlimited workspaces from Standard, and white-label reporting, while HubSpot AEO is set up for one domain at a time, with each extra brand bought as another $50 a month instance and no documented agency features. DeepSmith is a strong alternative on tracking and production per client, because each client runs in an isolated workspace and the Writer produces publish-ready articles for it.

If you run AI visibility for several clients, the real question is whether one account can hold all of them without workarounds. That is what Otterly.AI vs HubSpot AEO for agencies comes down to. This page looks at client workspaces, reporting and access, data access, and what each added client costs. For the wider feature comparison, see the full Otterly.AI vs HubSpot AEO comparison. DeepSmith comes in as a third option that also writes the content for each client.

Otterly.AI

The Otterly.AI homepage, an AI search monitoring tool for tracking brand mentions and citations.

Otterly.AI is a self-serve AI search monitoring tool from Austria. It tracks mentions and citations daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude sold as paid add-ons. Otterly says it is built for agencies as well as in-house teams, and it runs an Agency Partner program that adds prompts and pitch workspaces.

The standout for this job is the account structure. Every plan has unlimited seats and brand reports, and Standard and Premium add unlimited workspaces, each with its own members, prompts and audits. The main limit is that Lite is one workspace with 15 prompts, and the next step up is $189 a month. It also does not document article writing or CMS publishing. On G2, the OtterlyAI listing sits at 4.7/5 from 54 reviews (checked September 2026), and reviewers mostly praise the interface and easy setup.

HubSpot AEO

The HubSpot AEO homepage, HubSpot's answer engine optimization tool for tracking AI visibility.

HubSpot AEO is HubSpot's answer engine optimization tool, still labelled beta. It runs 25 tracked prompts daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity for $50 a month ($45 billed annually), and it comes included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise. It reports visibility, sentiment, share of voice and citations, then turns them into prioritized recommendations.

The standout is the low entry price with a 28-day trial and no other HubSpot subscription needed. The limit for agencies is that the docs support one owned domain per setup. Extra brands use prompt groups, a Brands add-on or another $50 a month instance, and HubSpot documents no white-label reporting, client workspaces or agency plan. On G2 it holds 4.4/5 from 145 reviews, and the common complaint is the 25-prompt cap. Multi-domain agencies can also see how it holds up against SE Ranking's AI visibility tracker in a separate review.

DeepSmith: the alternative that tracks and writes for every client

The DeepSmith homepage, an AI search analytics and content production platform.

Otterly.AI and HubSpot AEO both stop at the report. Otterly.AI documents monitoring, audits and recommendations, and HubSpot AEO drafts blog posts only inside Marketing Hub. Neither writes publish-ready articles for a client's own site on a standalone plan, and for an agency that is usually where the hours go.

DeepSmith covers both halves per client. Multi-Workspace runs each client as its own isolated workspace with its own Deep IQ brand context, content and plan, so one client's voice and product facts never leak into another's. Inside each workspace, the AEO module checks the prompts you define on a schedule and reports Mention Rate, Citation Rate and Share of Voice. Opportunity Agents turn those gaps into ideas that carry their evidence, and the Writer produces the finished article, linked, with a cover image and metadata. Autowrite can run it on a schedule, and Produced Content publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Strapi, Sanity or Contentful, or to your own webhooks.

Plans are Pro at $99 a month, Grow at $199, Scale at $399, and a custom Enterprise plan, all with a 7-day free trial and no long-term contracts. Each workspace is billed and limited independently, so you pick the tier per client. The DeepSmith vs Otterly comparison covers the tracking side in more detail.

Client workspaces and account structure

Otterly.AI wins here, clearly. On Standard and above, workspaces are unlimited, and each one holds its own members, brand reports, prompts and GEO audits. Otterly says prompts can be moved freely between workspaces, so you are not locked to a fixed number per client. Its Viewer role, added in March 2026, gives clients read-only access.

HubSpot AEO takes the opposite approach. HubSpot's own documentation supports one owned domain per setup, and a second client means a second instance or the Brands add-on, whose price is not stated. Nothing in the knowledge base describes a client workspace.

Agencies that fix AI visibility across a client portfolio need this structure before they need any single feature, and only one of the two has it.

What DeepSmith does: each client gets a workspace with its own Deep IQ context, content and plan, and you invite teammates as owners or members per workspace. The same account that tracks a client's AI visibility also holds that client's writing context.

Reporting and client access

Otterly.AI wins this one too. It produces PDF brand reports in Document or Presentation form with your own logo, and it has a native Looker Studio connector (Standard and above) for branded dashboards. HubSpot AEO has no white-label or client-ready reporting on record, so an agency would build its own slides from the dashboard.

What DeepSmith does: DeepSmith doesn't list white-label report branding. What it adds is the work clients tend to pay for after the report, since the Writer turns each gap into an article in that client's voice, and every article arrives with social posts already written. If you sell AEO as a service, the guide on how agencies package AEO services shows where reports and deliverables fit together.

API and MCP access

Otterly.AI has the clearer answer for agencies that build their own dashboards. Its public API and MCP server start on Standard, with 2,000 requests a month each (5,000 on Premium), and raw answers export as CSV or JSON. If your team pulls data into its own reporting, the roundup of AEO tools with an open API compares the options.

HubSpot AEO has a beta read API and a connector that lets you ask Claude or ChatGPT about AEO performance. A Super Admin has to approve the connector, and HubSpot's docs leave open whether standalone customers get the API.

What DeepSmith does: the REST API and the 23-tool MCP server are read-only, with scoped keys and one URL and API key per workspace, so each client's data stays apart. Webhooks notify your own systems when content status changes.

Cost of adding each client

The answer depends on how many clients you have. Otterly.AI charges for the plan and the prompts, not for each client. Standard is $189 a month for 100 prompts shared across every workspace, and 150 for approved Agency Partners. Another 100 prompts is $99 a month. HubSpot AEO charges per brand, at $50 a month for 25 prompts each. Three clients cost $150, which is under Otterly's Standard. Four clients cost $200, and past that Otterly.AI is cheaper, though HubSpot gives each client its own 25 prompts and Otterly splits 100 among them. HubSpot's Brands add-on price is not published, so this math assumes separate instances. Agencies comparing more options can start from the list of AI visibility tools for agencies.

What DeepSmith does: each workspace carries its own plan, from $99 a month, so cost grows by client and you choose the tier each one needs. Every plan includes articles (20, 40 or 90 a month on Pro, Grow and Scale), which is the part neither tracker prices. Details are on the DeepSmith plans and pricing page.

Which should you choose

Whether it is Otterly.AI or HubSpot AEO for agencies, the pick follows how many clients you carry and what you deliver to them.

  • DeepSmith: you manage AI visibility for several clients and want the writing handled too, with each client's tracking, brand context and articles in one isolated workspace.
  • Otterly.AI: you mainly report on AI visibility, you have enough clients to use unlimited workspaces, and you want white-label PDFs and a Looker Studio feed. It is the stronger pick of the two for this job.
  • HubSpot AEO: you track one or two brands, or you already run on Marketing Hub, and one domain per setup is fine.

Frequently asked questions

Can an agency run all clients from a single Otterly.AI account?

Yes, on Standard ($189 a month) and above. Those plans include unlimited workspaces, and every plan has unlimited seats and brand reports. Lite is limited to one workspace, so it works for one brand only.

Does HubSpot AEO have agency features?

None are documented. The docs support one owned domain per setup, extra brands cost another $50 a month instance or a Brands add-on, and white-label reporting is not mentioned. It suits one or two brands better than a client roster.

Which of the two offers white-label reporting?

Otterly.AI does. It produces PDF brand reports with your own logo and Looker Studio reports with your branding. HubSpot AEO does not list white-label reporting.

Is there an alternative to Otterly.AI and HubSpot AEO that also writes content for each client?

DeepSmith does. Each client runs in an isolated workspace, with tracking across engines and the Writer producing publish-ready articles in that client's brand context. Plans start at $99 a month.
